Experience Autumn with Fall Events in Austin

Oktoberfest beer and pretzels | fall events in Austin

The autumn season is beautiful in Austin. Enjoy the cooler autumn weather as you participate in various fun fall events in Austin. Many are just a short distance away from the Austin apartments that you can call home.

While most Oktoberfest events have already passed, you can still take advantage of associated festivities happening in town. Meanwhile Brewing Co. offers a free RSVP during their weekend festivities from October 22 to 24. You can also find Oktoberfest-themed offerings at the Austin Fermentation Festival happening on October 20th. Looking for breakfast before you go? Grab the best donuts in Austin at Little Lucy’s or one of the other local favorites. A pumpkin spice donut or apple fritter pairs well with the fall weather.

Boo at the Zoo

Throughout the entire month of October, weekends are reserved for Boo at the Zoo. Enjoy the animals at the Austin Zoo as you get to see people dressed in costumes and experience everything the darkness brings. A visit to the provided haunted house should be on your list as well.

Austin Symphony Orchestra Presents: Halloween Children’s Concert

Whether you have kids or not, the Halloween children’s concert is a great option to attend. Presented by the Austin Symphony Orchestra, you can be sure this event held on October 24th will be a treat to try. Come in costume and hear the spooky story unfold.

The Elisabet Ney Museum holds its Polkapocalypse event each year. In 2020, the event transitioned to an online format. This year may be the same, but the call has not yet been made. Stay tuned to the museum’s website or Facebook page to see how you can participate. This fall event combines Polka music with Dia de Los Muertos and Oktoberfest for a truly unique celebration perfect for the month of October—and Halloween.
