Snap a Selfie while Social Distancing at These Austin Landmarks

Austin has many great landmarks, and many of them are close to our Austin apartments at Cole. Grab your mask, smartphone, and maybe a selfie stick. Then, head out for adventure at these Austin landmarks.

1. I Love You So Much Mural

The I Love You So Much Mural is perhaps one of Austin’s best known public art installations. You’ll find it at the southwest corner of South Congress Avenue and West James Street.

Countless people take engagement photos at this South Congress landmark. Bring along a special someone to remind yourselves how much you love each other. The mural is on the northern wall of Jo’s Coffee, so you can order some coffee to fuel your journey.

2. Willie Nelson Statue

Few musicians personify the gloriously unique culture of Austin like Willie Nelson. His bronze statue graces the northwest corner of West 2nd and Lavaca Streets. Nelson and his guitar Trigger stand proudly in front of the Moody Theater, a 2,750-capacity music venue where tapings of the world-famous Austin City Limits television show occur.

3. Peter Pan Mini Golf

You get tons of selfie spots in one place at Peter Pan Mini Golf. This Austin institution has entertained generations of mini golfers with its two 18-hole courses filled with brightly colored statues. To preserve the health of patrons, the golf course offers contactless payment and freshly sanitized equipment. You also have the option of bringing in your own putter and ball, and should definitely bring a mask. Peter Pan Mini Golf is located at 1207 Barton Springs Road.

These Austin landmarks offer scenic backdrops for the best selfies.

After you’ve finished your selfie-taking adventures, you’ll be glad to retire to your luxurious home at Cole Apartments. Not yet a member of our community? Contact us to arrange a virtual tour of our premium living spaces and amenities today!
