If you’re looking to enjoy a delicious cookie, head to one of the following destinations where you’ll find everything from chocolate chip to snickerdoodles:

Quack’s 43rd Street Bakery

Quack’s 43rd Street Bakery boasts that it provides late-night study aids and the morning caffeine fix that most people crave. It was the first coffeehouse in Austin, and the bakers start their day early as all of the treats are made from scratch. Quack’s offers a laid-back atmosphere, and its vibrant seating area features brightly colored walls and picture windows. Cookies include strawberry tea, ginger crinkle, and peanut butter chocolate chunk.

Upper Crust Bakery & Cafe

Locally owned and operated, Upper Crust┬áhas been a part of the city’s landscape for more than 28 years. Zagat calls the bakery “A perfect place to feed a sweet tooth,” and it’s a fun destination to meet friends. The staff is always friendly, and guests can enjoy their time inside or on the cozy patio. There are an array of cookies to choose from, including sugar, black gold, and gingerbread men.

Capital City Bakery

At the Capital City Bakery, all of the goodies are 100 percent vegan. It started as a home baking business, and when the demand for Kristen’s creations grew, she decided to open a brick and mortar location. She states that the bakery was built on a love of food and a desire to foster the community. Everything is made from scratch, and Kristen uses locally sourced ingredients when possible. She also makes it a priority to recycle, and the boxes are made from recycled materials. Capital City is open daily until 7:00 p.m., and the two-dollar chocolate chip cookies are not to be missed.
