Owned by Tyson and Cherry Blankemeyer, the restaurant is open 24 hours, and it comes complete with brightly colored walls, twinkling lights, and plenty of green plants. Tyson’s boasts a four-star rating on as guests appreciate the service and delicious, reasonably priced meals. Start with the guacamole before enjoying tacos such as spicy brisket, crispy duck, and burnt ends.
Established in 2013, Con Madre is famous for serving the city’s best breakfast burritos. The owners boast that all of the dishes are made with love, and the menu features interpretations of classic Mexican food and American adaptations of their childhood favorites. All of the menu items are served out of a food truck, and Con Madre offers a covered patio where everyone can sit and enjoy their delicious meal. Tacos include migas, chilaquiles, and chicharrones.
Also a food truck, Juana Tacos is where the recipes were perfected in the Rio Grande Valley. The chefs make the meals using fresh, flavorful ingredients and take pride in serving authentic Mexican cuisine. Juana Tacos is found in the East Austin neighborhood, and the owners help support organizations such as the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. The truck is mainly open during the week, and it’s location is listed on their website. Tacos include veggie, bean & cheese, and gringa.
