For over 5,000 years, yoga has helped practitioners improve their mind and body connection. If you would like to give yoga a try, then the best studios in Austin near our Zilker apartments include:
Sanctuary Yoga
The donation-based studio Sanctuary Yoga seeks to help students develop a connection to others. The donations support the teachers as well as the youth programs of the Amala Foundation. Practitioners are encouraged to meet their goals, and all skill levels are welcome. Classes include Greenbelt Yoga. This unique 90-minute session runs on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m to 11:30 a.m. It features guided hiking, yoga, and meditation along the riverbed.
Practice Yoga Austin
Practice Yoga Austin also utilizes a donation-based approach. The anonymous donation process allows students to pay whatever works for their budgets. Instructor Rey Cardenas began practicing yoga while playing professional online poker. He started on a Wii Fit before taking classes at a studio. Rey later became a certified instructor, and today he co-owns Practice Yoga Austin. Those who want an energizing class will want to try Power. Set to uplifting music, it helps build strength and endurance through dynamic movements. While memberships are available, they are not required.
Sukha Yoga
Mom-and-pop yoga studio Sukha began with a desire to support the community. Known for their passion and creativity, the teachers treat everyone like family. Choose from the daily class selection with offerings such as Restorative. Set to ambient music, it usually only features four to five poses every session. Instructor Liz Vartanian has years of experience and often surprises her students with homemade treats after class.
Yoga represents just one of the activities you can enjoy as a resident of our South Lamar apartments. If you want to call our community home, then please contact us. We would love for you to see firsthand all we have to offer.
